Company Background
The company is 100% BEE-owned, with the founding member being a Black woman. The company has five fulltime employees and we also have access to a team of skilled workers that we can pull in on a part-time basis. Initially when I started the company the focus was on jewellery and accessories design and manufacturing. Over the years our product offering has broadened to include home decor items. We use Ndebele beading techniques in our designs. Our products will appeal to the customer who is looking for something authentically African with a contemporary flair. We currently have an empowerment and skills transfer program with a group of beaders in kwaNdebele. We teach basic product development and other skills so that each person can be able to work on a project and earn an income. As the founder I design products and identify potential markets for the products.
