Future Socks

Future Socks is a South African business founded by Thabo Motsoane which launched in 2018.

Our story is inspired by the streets of Braamfontein, Johannesburg. This city is a hive of activity, mainly because it attracts students from all over South Africa and also the rest of Africa. With this mixture of so many cultures came about a very beautiful piece of art reflected in the hairstyles, walks, dance moves, and especially clothes.

Mixed with this is the culture of excellence where people go about their daily activities in search of that degree which might just change their living circumstances at home. The odd bursary-funded student goes from ordinary nerd to realising that you don’t need to dress like a nerd to be one.

The city has a culture of its own. It is non-conformist, bright, edgy and surprising- that is what Future Socks is all about!
