Thabo Makhetha

Thabo Makhetha-Kwinana established her eponymous label in 2009, starting as a made-to-order boutique. A graduate of Nelson Mandela University, she gained widespread recognition in 2011 with her "Rose Coat" at the Durban July, a design that earned her a Best Dressed award.

She has since showcased her collections, most notably the Kobo ea Bohali (blanket of prestige) line, at fashion weeks in Vancouver, London, Milan, and Paris. Her designs have been featured in publications like Vogue Italia, and she has received numerous awards, including the African Creative Industry Award and the Impact Award for Design Excellence.
